A self-effacing political leader in the grassroots, other compatriots from his Ikot Ebo Village and Urban Ward 1 have since identified him as a dependable and logical partner in the coherence of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its electoral exploits.
With its 12 political wards, broadly categorized into North Iman, Urban and South Iman; comprising 64 villages, Godfada Uko's Urban Ward 1 with the highest number of 23 Polling Units is widely known as the VOTE BASKET of Etinan Local Government Area, always recording the highest number of loyalists for the PDP. For instance, the 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly election results show that Urban Ward 1 contributed 2508 votes and 2610 votes respectively to the party's overall victory in both contests.
A former member of the Student Union Government at Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic in Ebonyi State where he obtained a HND in Business Administration and Management, Godfada Uko has also distinguished himself as a gospel musician and principal in the organized entertainment industry. The astute politician holds a PGD in Public Administration from the University of Uyo with a Masters degree in-view in the same discipline from the same university. Having served former Governor Udom Emmanuel as an aide on Project Monitoring, his current designation in the Governor Umo Eno administration is SA Entertainment.
By virtue of his popularity with stakeholders in Etinan Local Government Area and the political expediency of zoning the office of Executive Chairman to the Urban wards, since Southern wards already have the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly in their kitty and the Northern wards (up North) hold the positions of Commissioner, Coordinator of Ibom Community Watch, Political Leader of Etinan Local Government, Transition Chairman, Managing Director of Ibom Air and Transition Secretary, leaving Urban Ward 1-the VOTE BASKET of Etinan LGA empty without any executive or elected office, Godfada Uko is the most prepared and favored aspirant to serve as the next Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area.
